Our Process
. Client Request Submission
Clients submit screening requests through secure communication channels. Each request is reviewed to confirm required identifiers and ensure the screening type is appropriate for the client’s needs.
Identity Verification & Data Collection
The applicant’s identifying information is verified to ensure accurate record matching. This step reduces the risk of false positives and ensures compliance with FCRA identity-matching standards.
Jurisdictional Searches Conducted
Searches may include:
- County criminal records
- Statewide repositories (where available)
- Multi-jurisdictional databases
- Sex offender registry searches
- Civil court records (for tenant screening)
Federal criminal records are not included, as access requires specialized licensing and CJIS-level permissions. This ensures all services remain fully compliant with state and federal regulations.
FCRA-Compliant Report Delivery
Final reports are delivered securely to clients, with clear explanations of findings and guidance on how to interpret results. Reports are formatted for clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
FCRA PolicyFCRA Compliance Policy
Hawk View Investigation, LLC is committed to full compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and all applicable federal and state laws governing the use of consumer reports for employment and tenant screening purposes. Our policies and procedures are designed to ensure that all background screening activities are conducted lawfully, fairly, and with the utmost respect for consumer rights.
1. Permissible Purpose: We obtain written authorization from the consumer before procuring any consumer report. Reports are only obtained for permissible purposes as defined by the FCRA, including employment and tenant screening.
2. Disclosure and Authorization: Prior to obtaining a consumer report, we provide a clear and conspicuous written disclosure to the consumer and obtain their written authorization.
3. Adverse Action Procedures: If adverse action is to be taken based on information in a consumer report, we provide the consumer with a pre-adverse action notice, a copy of the report, and a summary of rights under the FCRA. After a reasonable period, a final adverse action notice is issued.
4. Data Accuracy: We utilize reputable data sources and conduct multi-step quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all reports.
5. Confidentiality and Security: All consumer information is stored and transmitted securely. Access is limited to authorized personnel only.
6. Dispute Resolution: If a consumer disputes information in their report, we promptly investigate and take appropriate corrective action as required by the FCRA.
7. Recordkeeping: We maintain records of consumer report requests, disclosures, authorizations, and adverse action notices in accordance with legal requirements.
8. Training and Compliance: Staff involved in background screening receive training on FCRA requirements and internal compliance procedures.
9. Vendor Management: We ensure that any third-party vendors or data providers comply with FCRA and maintain appropriate data security standards.
10. Updates and Reviews: This policy is reviewed annually and updated as needed to reflect changes in laws, regulations, or business practices.
